By my count, 28, always one at a time, occasionally two, all drivers. Two more if you count utility trucks. Starting with '47 Studebaker, 57 years ago, ending with 01 Nissan. About one car every two-plus years. Six were bought new, combined price for all new ones about $13K..

Studebaker, Chev, Plymouth, Renault, Volvo, Jaguar, VW, Rover, Datsun, GMC, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Ford, Oldsmobile, Dodge, Honda, Nissan.

I think I'm pushing 30 now, so probably about 45-50 total.

Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac, Lincoln, Ford, Mercury, Willys, Studebaker, Jeep, Chrysler, Imperial, Oldsmobile, International, Volvo, and Mitsubishi. There might be one or two other makes I'm not recalling.

I made a list for another forum question but can't find it... I'll re-do it best I can (roughly in order of ownership)

1968 Ford LTD
1973 Ford LTD
1969 Plymouth Gran Fury
1967 Plymouth Valiant
1973 Mercury Comet
1973 Plymouth Satellite
1978 Ford LTD II
1980 Plymouth Volare
1982 Mercury Lynx
1982 Mercury Grand Marquis
1979 Lincoln Town Car
1980 Chevy Caprice
1989 Chevy Caprice
1990 Chevy Caprice
1988 Dodge Caravan
1990 Ford Taurus
1991 Ford Taurus
1990 Mercury Topaz
1999 Ford Windstar
1991 Ford F-150
1990 Chrysler Lebaron
1991 Buick Century
1994 Dodge Intrepid
1994 Chrysler Lebaron
1993 Plymouth Voyager

Nope, have yet to own anything made in this century. Out of the whole bunch, the '99 Windstar was the only one financed and it was murdered in a 2 vehicle crash about two months into the loan. Everything else was a cash deal.

I'm on car #6 since 1975:

1973 Mercury Comet (sold for $400 to the teenager down the street)
1983 Mercury Lynx (gleefully traded in for a new car)
1987 VW Golf (sold for $800 to a different teenager down a different street)
1994 Honda Civic (T-boned by an illegal alien ... erm, undocumented worker ... running a red light)
1998 VW Golf (traded in for $400 even though it wasn't running)
2006 Mazda 3

Not bad for 36 years of driving.
