I have enjoyed our 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora since 2001. It is getting time to replace her. What would be close? Yea, I've got an idea or two, but it sure helps to bounce this off of real people with real experience.

Would like to match performance, size, and looks. (I'm trying to be realistic of course)
(Isn't the first generation Aurora a beauty? ) YMMV

The closest newer equivalent would be a Cadillac CTS; they are/were both GM's entry into the entry-lux segment for their time. But if you want something that resembles its swoopy styling, then take a look at the VW CC, Hyundai Sonata turbo, and Mazda 6 V6

Why not just get another Aurora? Because they were popular with the older crowd, there should be many pristine, low-mileage models out there.

This is a possibility.

The Sonata looks nice. Test drove a Mazda 6; pretty cool. I like the CTS, but my wife thinks the back seat is tight.

The VW CC was completely off my radar; I like the looks though.

Thanks!
