What do you drive, man? Your moniker implies that it's something sporty...

I don't care for any of the newer BMW's.

I've always like the E and S Class especially with the AMG engines.

BMW just doesn't do anything for me anymore. I've seen the new 5 series on the road and its a bore. The new 7 series is a much better then the 2002-2009 model with the Bangle butt but its nothing special anymore. I've always like the model from 1998(?) with the M sport rims. Those were the days.

2010 Ford F-150....about as UNsporty as you get. But I used to have an '86 Porsche 911 when I made my account. Looking to buy a C6 Corvette though.

I'm starting to get bored with BMW too. The "new" 5-series looks like a snoozer. I put new in quotes because I can't see much difference between it and the 2006 model that I currently own. My favorite car was my 2001 BMW. That was a great car and drove really well. The BMWs at the auto show didn't grab me this year. That's why I'm thinking about Audi or Inifiniti when the time comes. BMW has a big price premium, so if it doesn't light your flame, why spend the extra money?

F-150...Man, that is NOT sporty. But I approve of the Porsche, and the plans to get a Vette.....

How about the 1973 3.0 CS? That was the most beautiful BMW ever made, my dad had one and I just thought that car was the coolest thing ever. That light and airy greenhouse and perfect proportions. It's all so over-engineered and overweight boredom for both of these marques these days, other cars have caught up in most aspects, the heavy price premium isn't justified any longer, especially with the quality concerns.

I like both but if I had to choose, it would be Mercedes. I've driven both, but something about my Mercedes that just makes my adrenaline pump whenever I see one. As a kid growing up the Mercedes Benz was the coolest car to have, and I still think that now (with BMW). I just wish they came with manual transmissions like BMW. Styling wise I think Mercedes has the best looking lineup (except for the R).

MB = for people who like luxury, not driving.
BMW = for people who like driving, and a little luxury.

I am another one who would say both, depending upon the model.
