I just dont understand why the united states buys gas from the middle east when its perfectly clear they hate americans.
For the same reason that a drug addict will deal with any slimeball drug dealer to get a fix--to feed his addiction. Americans will sell their souls to feed our addiction to oil rather than make the hard, but necessary lifestyle changes to reduce our addiction. So our enemies get our money and will use it to try to destroy us.
For what it's worth I just filled up this evening reg 87 at $3.09 gal.
Not sure where you are but $3.09 sounds cheap, and gas prices have been dropping precipitously lately even though oil prices haven't. It's a weird market out there right now. It's like sovereign debt concerns are pushing oil prices one way while flagging demand in a flagging economy are pusshing gasoline prices another way.
That is just about the same price before CA adds the extra $0.80 per gallon tax.
I didnt know ca gas tax was that high. Its ashame those dirtballs in sacramento get away with stealing from us. No wonder they are the worse legislature in ca history.
3.15 for regular today, 3.41 for premium. It helps being in NJ which has one of the lowest gas taxes in the country. (of course all of our other taxes are among the highest).

Paid 3.39 for regular yesterday. If I remember correctly it was about 3.80 a few months ago.
