Not sure where you are but $3.09 sounds cheap, and gas prices have been dropping precipitously lately even though oil prices haven't. It's a weird market out there right now. It's like sovereign debt concerns are pushing oil prices one way while flagging demand in a flagging economy are pusshing gasoline prices another way.

Thats alot better then ca. I paid $3.70 a gal today but ca has always been higher then the surrounding states (or, nv & az).

I didnt know ca gas tax was that high. Its ashame those dirtballs in sacramento get away with stealing from us. No wonder they are the worse legislature in ca history.

3.15 for regular today, 3.41 for premium. It helps being in NJ which has one of the lowest gas taxes in the country. (of course all of our other taxes are among the highest).

To revive an old thread, today I paid $2.96 for regular gasoline at Plainview, Texas. It's coming down again.

Paid 3.39 for regular yesterday. If I remember correctly it was about 3.80 a few months ago.
