There is always that guy or group of guys at the car shows, or at the drag strip who think their car is God's gift to the world. In my opinion, and experience it's been Vette guys, but I've heard about BMW guys....what other groups are the "car snobs"

What? You didn't notice the three-pointed star on the hood of some of the cars?

Porsche People.

In the 50's my aunt used to say, "We're Porsche People" and Porsche had two syllables with that crowd. Who definitely thought they were God's gift to the car world. Even as a 6-year old I was kind of nauseated. My DH had a Porsche when I met him. Took me a while to trust that he wasn't part of the cult.

I think there are groups like that for just about every make and model. I'll throw out something non-performance/luxury though, Prius people. You know the ones that assume they are saving the world by driving a Prius and are therefore better and more intelligent than those who don't. See the South Park episode on "smug" for reference.

It's all the same. I've seen 'Spec Miata' teams with full race trailers and crew at autocross events acting like gods that came down to kick some 'amateur' a**, but then cant even beat the average autocrosser with their 'smooth is key' technique

It's anyone who feels his car defines him no matter what he or she drives. If a person lets a car do the impressing, they must not be much themselves. A car whether it's a Yugo, or Rolls Royce is an appliance to get one from point A to point B.

I'm an equal opportunity car snob, I look down at every single mark out there including my own. I'll bash, rip, and shred any brand with dignity.
