Only issue is...the 2 door Cougar has been annoying to drive because of the, well, 2 doors. I'm in my 30s now but I'm not married and don't have a family, so I don't feel compelled to buy a 4 door car other than the fact that my current coupe is kinda 'tight' space-wise.

I was however leaning towards a sedan because I feel like it's the 'adult thing to do'...but I can't seem to find a sedan that has a sportier feel to it. Plus my budget is around 20k.

Any suggestions on a sportier everyday sedan?
What's wrong with your Cougar again? Cars don't magically quit because they go past some arbitrary mileage.

If you are single, I'm not getting the problem with 2 doors - I'm married, no kids living at home, and 54, most of my cars have 2 doors - if you are not essentially operating a taxi service, I don't see the need for 4 doors, unless, you want to emphasize that "you are old" - why would you do that?!

An Accord sedan has the same mechanicals as the Coupe and drives much the same. We love ours!

LOL...

I bought my Cougar used a year ago after totalling another vehicle. It's got about 120/125k on it and as far as I know, does not need any major repairs at the moment *according to my local mechanic*.

I am single/no kids, so yea, you do have a point about how 2 doors shouldn't be a problem. I guess I'm putting too much thinking into what I see other people doing...most of my friends have sedans and SUVs but are single. Now that I'm in my early 30s, I guess I've just grown to associate sedans with age/maturity...not just families.

Anyways, I will say that the Cougar is just a bit cramped. IF I go with another coupe I would like it to be more spacious.
