Just finished watched an episode Mopar Muscle. I've been into drag racing since the mid sixties and have always been a Mopar guy when it comes to racing. I think I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to N.H.R.A drag racing and thought I heard all the stories about the cheating that went on during the late 60's early 70's in the Pro Stock class. One of the commentators in this episode made a comment about a memo sent out by Chrysler to the guys running the 71 Challenger (i.e. Sox & Martin) to never park their Pro Stock Challenger next to a stock one when in the pits. Now I'm sure Chrysler was supplying "SPECIAL BODIES" to the guys running Pro Stock, but I can't find out what the difference is. The commentator says it would be obvious to the eye. Has anyone heard this story and if so knows the answer?

There were several differences, body width, windshield slope, lower front nose height, are just 3 of the things i know.

I'm kinda thinking the same. I wonder if they rolled the side panel a bit as well. I would like to get the actual specs. from the Chrysler archives. I guess the old saying "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'" holds true for all motorsports.
