At first, I was thinking that it might be a Lanchester.
However, I am pretty sure at this point that the car in question is an Armstrong-Siddeley (Sapphire model), circa 1953.

The car was not made by Chrysler, but it was based on an old Chrysler show car design, and it used the frame and powertrain of a Dodge D-500 (performance model).
The bodies was made in Italy, by Ghia, and the bodies were shipped to Detroit where they were mated with the Dodge components by Gene Cassarol's workmen. Among the celebrities who owned one was Frank Sinatra.

Correct! They are Star Sapphires, slightly improved on the earlier Sapphires. Made till 1959.
