I refuse to allow dealerships to put their badges on my car. I tell 'em up front - that thing better not be on when I take delivery.

Not paying them to advertise their business.

Yup!
That has been my policy ever since I began buying new cars, back in 1971. I actually demand that they place this requirement on the purchase order for the car.

In addition to not wanting to provide free advertising for a dealership--Why would I want some crappy-looking sticker or emblem placed on the paint of my brand-new car?

I'm with you. No stickers or license plate frames. What stinks is one of my closest friends owns the dealership where I've been buying cars from for the past 30 years or so. It drives him crazy.
