If you ever take a long road trip and wind up around KC....holler at me and we'll go cruising!
Mine is sitting outside right now and in 30minutes I will take a little zip towards home, probably go the long way as it's over 50 here today.
I'll actually take you up on that offer! I come back to Iowa once a year and if I drive this summer, I'll make a detour through KC.
I'm getting a bit anxious, brother called and is about 9 hours away so maybe we'll still make a late-night dinner at Morton's or something. I can't wait to have another 'Vette, I won't be so hasty on getting rid of this one though...think it'll be in my garage for quite a long time.
My '05 was blue and had a manual tranny. I made the sacrifice to get an automatic, the price I paid for the '08 was just too good to keep looking for a stick convertible.
I like the colors, my brother said the pictures don't do the color justice. I've seen a few deep red Corvette's around Phoenix and they really have a nice look to them.
I'm DONE buying anything expensive for quite a long time though. My bank account looks pretty pitiful at the moment, I need to focus on saving more of my paycheck instead of buying toys.
My boss has a 07 A6 Monterey Red C6 hard top (non Z51). I've driven it hard through some awesome mountain switchbacks several times. With the paddle shifters and keeping both hands on the wheel, it's a freakn' blast. I sure didn't mind the automatic. Amazing how planted a Corvette is when going 50mph on a turn that is posted for 25mph LOL.
Some of us guys have to live our lives through yours, since our wives won't let us buy fun toys
Haven't had time to review it yet, I've barely put 100 miles on it and that includes driving it to work today!
Get rid of the wife, buy a fun toy. At least in 20 years my 'Vette will have resale value, what's the resale value on a wife these days? I can fix the components of my 'Vette pretty cheaply but plastic surgery can get awfully expensive.
The scrap value of a wife may be higher than a 'Vette though, I mean I hear a good liver or heart can bring a hefty sum on the black market...

Way to go, Speedy! Sad you didn't come visit us in Dallas, though!
We go racin'... *grin*
Really thought about it but trying to save up the vacation time for a week in the Caribbean this year or something. I might be attending a meeting in Dallas this summer though so if I head that way I'll give you a shout out!
