This is like pulling teeth.
What's her budget?
What does drive now? What doesn't it have that she wants?

Our nurses drive everything from sports cars to suvs to sedans to even motorcycles.

If she likes the camry, then go test drive a new one, preferably a SE. Does she wish to stay with a car or go with a small suv?

small SUV. She is tired of small cars but wants a fuel efficient one since gas has been burning holes through her pocketbook lately.

The 2000 Camry is a midsize and is rated at 23/28 (assuming a 4-cyl) ... the current model (two generations removed) is a couple inches wider/longer, with a more powerful engine, more safety features, and gets 28/35 mpg.

Any small SUV she gets will most likely be smaller in dimension and gets the same gas mileage as she does now.

She has a budget right?

That vehicle as described above is probably non-obtainium.
