Go to a large news stand (like the magazine section of Barnes & Noble), and buy her a copy of the Consumer Reports New Car Buyer's Guide. In addition to listing every passenger vehicle that is sold in the US market, this publication divides vehicles up by categories such as size, price, and by other distinctions. It also provides historical reliability ratings of each model.
Or--you could just continue to solicit random suggestions from random strangers with unknown motivations and varying preferences and prejudices. If you rely on random suggestions from random strangers, there is a strong likelihood that some very appropriate vehicles will not be mentioned. If you want to know about everything that is available, including comments about the pros and cons of each model, you will buy the above-mentioned publication.
I know a nurse who makes 50K a year. She is planning on buying or leasing a car. She asked me what cars would be good for her. I am asking you what in your opinions is appropriate for a Hospital nurse?
What difference does it make what her job is?
Our nurses drive everything from sports cars to suvs to sedans to even motorcycles.
small SUV. She is tired of small cars but wants a fuel efficient one since gas has been burning holes through her pocketbook lately.
The 2000 Camry is a midsize and is rated at 23/28 (assuming a 4-cyl) ... the current model (two generations removed) is a couple inches wider/longer, with a more powerful engine, more safety features, and gets 28/35 mpg.
Any small SUV she gets will most likely be smaller in dimension and gets the same gas mileage as she does now.
Location: The Circle City. Sometimes NE of Bagdad.
