I had a ticket that I forgot to pay and it was a year before it came back around to bite me in the behind! Basically I had a 35 dollar ticket to sitting around for a while and I set a few dates that I did miss. Then a yellow slip came in the mail from the courts and said : As a result of your failure to appear, the court has placed a hold on your drivers license with the DMV and so on and so on. Court adds an extra 300 dollars to my bail (Totaling to 880 bucks in total)--however if paid within 10 calender days they would deduct 300 dollars. I basically paid them then had to re--re-open the ticket.

Both went over well and smooth. My plea to reopen the ticket (which was apparently closed due to me paying it and being so old) was basically instant and first pick of the litter--then I saw the judge to contest it and the officer did not show thus throwing the matter out and having my money returned righttt. ..That was on Jan7th. Just how long does this take ?!? I want that money back!

I'd start complaining after it's taken them as long to pay as it did you the first time....

Took me 5 years to get my last refund from a state court system over a wrongfully filed vehicle charge (meaning I went to court, settled the case, paid my money and had issues years later with the same, Settled, case). That was MD though, and their court system is pathetic.

8 years of my life wasted on a 6mph over speeding ticket.

Tell them if it takes more than 10 days, they will have to pay you an extra $300.

huh. Could I get the slightly longer version of that. Something special must have been going on with our case for that to happen. Address problem ?
The girl I spoke with while in line at the court said "It came back faster than I thought it would" witch is so vague once you think about that. Asked my mom she forgot how long hers took to come back and now im here.
