I am just sticking to the OP's question, which is that I am satisfied with my V1 radar detector. Well worth the money. Send me a PM if you care to learn more.

Yes yes and yes. All of my cars run with the V1. I've even tested it against instant on and not got caught on the tested gun. I know it won't be a favorable match up but you got a chance with the V1. Funny, how desperate cops whined about the radar detectors and stuff then companies hustled up ways to try to crush the "movement". All about the money and protecting a key source of a city's income. I run the V1 and laser jammers. I also have radar jammers which are illegal but I put them on every so often. I've been ticketed 4 times (all while not running any device of any sort) and I've always won my case. I've never been ticketed period while running a radar/laser countering measure let alone the V1.

The V1 also is great for picking up radar coming up from behind you. I have witnessed many cops "speeding" up onto traffic from behind.
