I hung out in a rather rich neighborhood. Several of the seniors got Trans Am's for graduation presents (how nice). There were several blasting around town. I had a 70 Camaro and some of my friends had Monte Carlos.

Couldn't tell ya.
I was pretty busy learning to drive in a '67 Mustang convertible.
Or joy riding in my friend's classic Dodge Charger, lol

If I wasn't doing that, I was on any number of Harley's.....

Good times

55;56 and 57 Chevy some 55 Fords but they were expensive to hopup. Chevy performance parts ordered at dealers were cheap compared to aftermarket. That was from summer 62 when I got my license thru 65.The new 64 1/2 Mustang was popular but few could afford it and parents rarely bought teens new cars. Saving for college you know. My 57 Bel Aire cost 500 bucks used in early 63. That; of cours;e was just the start of what I ended up spending on it.

high school for me was 76-80. hard to say, most people brought a family car to school. looking at my high school yearbook i saw a lot of mundane cars parked in the school lot. fellow students who gave me rides were driving 8 year old LeMans' and Furies, etc. a local neighborhood car buff bought a 74 Duster from my neighbor and fixed it up. The Datsun 240 Z may have been popular at the time. Corvettes too. Novas. Chevelles.

I went to HS in the mid to late 90's. The most popular car in the student lot was a BMW 323i. There were at least a dozen of them. I don't recall any other car models that were driven by more than 1 or 2 students.

Most of the popular girls at my high school drove either Grand Cherokees or Jettas. Other than that, it was pretty varied.

Most of the rich kids at my school got brand new Accord EXV6s or Camry XLEV6s. OR they got handed down mom or dad's old ES300 or Legend.

The hot chick got a BMW 3 series.
