2011 Mercedes ML350 Diesel. Garbage car. Service engine light nearly always on during warranty period, then needed a $3,000 emission repair just after the warranty ended so I dumped it with less than 60k miles on the odometer.
I truly hated that vehicle. I've since entered the Toyota/Lexus family and haven't seen a check engine light since.
Volkswagen Beetle (old style). I don't remember what year it was, but it was older. I had it when I lived in Germany around 1985 - 1986 (and it was old then). The engine would start sputtering while driving. At first I was told it was probably a fuel filter problem. That seemed to fix it, until the next time it did it. Never could figure out what was causing it. I even took it to a VW repair shop. They told me it was "a bad car". They couldn't figure it out either. Eventually it died, and I could never get it to run right anymore. I ended up "abandoning" it in the parking lot of a friends apartment. But eventually I was tracked down as the owner and had to have it towed to a junk yard.
Never had any issues...even my first car was 1999 toyota with no issues. 300k miles
i guess ive been lucky on owning cars where none of them ever broke down
well I guess my chevy silverado @ 200k miles have AC issues and once in a while have electrical issues where nothing comes on.... but does start!! usually just turn it off and turn it back on and it works
1981 (I think) Pontiac Sunbird. Dumbest car ever. Good at nothing. Bad performance, uncomfortable, ugly, bad MPG, bad handling. Stupid to work on - you had to lift the engine off the mounts to change the spark plugs. But that is only an example, everything on that car was stupid. The third time it randomly caught on fire, it was totaled - I was happy! Replaced wit with a Mazda RX7 which I loved.
Most have been quite decent, even if fairly junky.
When I got burned, or that is what it felt like........not knowing how to do a decent inspection before buying that old Nova, the transmission promptly died.
That would be a tossup between my old '88 Brougham d'Elegance and '94 Dodge Intrepid. The cars were great - when they were working. The Brougham was a plush ride but overheating head gaskets killed it. The Intrepid went through I think three transmissions before I got rid of it. Not my actual cars but they looked very similar to these examples:
My cousin had a ‘95 Intrepid, and it also went through three transmissions. I don’t know what the deal was, but Chrysler just couldn’t make an automatic transmission that worked for very long.
'73 Jeep Commando was pretty bad, but it wasn't in the best shape when I got ahold of it. Still, lots of failures and wonky stuff.
Still sitting in my yard with a dead TH400. Was cheaper and faster to buy a Cherokee than fix that beast.
