So did Lockheed-Martin, makers of the almost $500M fighter that is currently restricted to flight near bases due to systems problems. Why does the right constantly whine about GM, then call for throwing more $$$ at companies like Lockheed-Martin? GM is far from the only corporation to take boatloads of taxpayer money, what makes it the default scapegoat?
deflect much?
All taxpayer funded bailouts are wrong.Dont you agree?

Boeing would be a maker of fine furniture, instead of airplanes, if it wasn't for federal funding and good olde boy contracts to keep them afloat after WWI...

Concerns that Chevrolet Cruzes could catch fire have caused General Motors (GM) to recall more than 475,000 of the popular compact sedans, the automaker said Friday...
All (Cruze) cars manufactured from September 2010 to May of this year are subject to the recall.
... It’s important for a company to create a branding identity--something all its products possess as an underlying, unifying theme.
GM has successfully identified and implemented theirs: combustibility.
General Motors is recalling all of its 2011 Chevrolet Cruze compact sedans to check for a steering problem as well as a condition in which an automatic transmission that appears to be in Park may still be in gear, increasing the chance of a roll-away accident.
Geez - the South African company that I posted about just had a lack of investors. Maybe they should get those designers on the job.
Op, time to either have the mods correct your bogus thread title or just have them lock down the thread. No reason to embarrass you further.
BBBBUT the op is having so much fun trashing American workers and the products they make.
Also those supposed bailouts the Auto industry got were actually low interest loans that for the most part have been paid back, saving a whole lot of American jobs in the process.

and its a good thing they did get that.
I am not a big fan of corporate welfare at all. But I do agree it is needed at times. Just like regular citizen welfare. Also there is a bit of the greater good factor that come up every now and then. All situations are different and there are good and bad versions of each.
Now I will admit I get annoyed when either from a citizen or a corporation it gets abused.

"Domestic auto co. recalls 200,000 vehicles"...
Reponse: This is why I wouldn't touch these cars with someone else's 10 ft pole... those cars are pieces of sh*t. Like, I don't know anyone who drives one.
"Asian auto co. recalls 9 million vehicles"...
Reponse: Asian auto manufacturers always build great cars and are making recalls because they truly care about the well-being and safety of their customers.
