Problem solved. In earlier thread I wanted to know if possible to put new 5.0 in my 2000 Expedition replacing oil burning, bad cam 5.4.
Majority of answers were NO and just get something else.
I was getting ready to build a 2012 F150 XL reg. cab 4x4 with standard V6 and power windows etc inside. Plus trade my Expedition in which I still owe 6000.00 on. Cost after all rebates (3000.00) and discounts was going to be 30,000.00.
Instead I found a 2011 F150 XLT SC 4x4 with 5.0 engine with only 5,700 miles and certified. It has all options expected plus phone system thing. Traction control, anti trailer sway, anti roll, manual shift or 6 speed automatic, etc, etc.
I got 20mpg with cruise set at 65 thru hills and small towns on 100 mile drive home. It is gray metallic.
Also since it is certified I got 100 pt inspection, new wiper blades, and tank was empty and got a full tank of gas. Tank is 36 gallon.
I got 5000.00 on Expedition trade and paid 25,085.00 for it.
Also got and EXtra 12mo/12000 mile bumper to bumper warrenty for a total remaining 43,000 miles and a 5yr/100,000 mile power train instead of 5yr/50,000.
So I am glad I did not mess with old Expedition and found this great deal..
Thanks everyone for helping me in my decision making.
