We need a larger vehicle but I'm not happy with the limited models of minivan out there, are there ay third row suv's with an aisle leading back to the third row betwen the seats in the middle? We really dont need much trunk space and this could be a viable alternative. Thanks!

I'd look for a Suburban with captains chairs (bucket seats) in the middle row, not the most common option but I've seen a few for sale with them lately.

Here's an overhead view of a 2008 Suburban with that configuration:

Ford Expedition has the same seating option as well. We love our Expedition and would never drive a mini van. This things hauls all of us with all of our stuff, cant ask for anything more.

Try a cross over like the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia or Chevy Traverse in the 7 seat configuration.

Check out the Toyota Sequoia

Edit: You need an aisle leading to the third row, so I guess it won't meet your needs.

I'm in the same boat. Our 2007 Dodge Durango with middle captains sucks at getting people in the third seat. You also can't put anything in the back when the 3rd seat is up.

The best options: Suburban/Yukon XL with middle captains, 2012 Dodge Durango with middle captains, Expedition with middle captains. A lot of the luxury SUVs have a console in the middle so you can't walk through easilly.

I'm leaning towards a 2009 Suburban/Yukon XL.

the nissan Armada or Infinity QX-56 also have captain chairs on the second row. Allowing access to the third row seats.

There is a console in the middle, so it's no different than a bench seat. I have these same middle buckets in my 2007 Dodge Durango and it sucks with two kids in child seats.
