In our case, we are not trying to "impress" anyone - it is a matter of our own pleasure. Inasmuch as we drive a lot, we wanted to have the most comfort and the most safety features we could.

The last two (and the next ones too) have great GPS navigation systems in them - boy has that saved us a time or two -

New cars are often less expensive to operate - better fuel economy yet, they are as large - The SUV we have is a marvel -

Yup. No wonder there is such a forclosure and debt problem rate in this nation. Trade up? HAHAHA, after a couple years most people are still upside down in their car loans vs. the car value.

For the record I keep my cars for the usable life. Life without a car payment - folks should try it.
