Gas should go up due to the oil refineries being closed along the gulf coast. Greedy oil companies do look for reasons to raise prices & they get away it. A barrel of oil is @ $95.71.
UPDATE.. because the storm in the gulf MIGHT shut down a few refiners and might cause a temporary slower supply which might cost them a couple of days profits to be on the safe side all gas stations plane to raise prices NOW..It is 380 in charlotte but it will go higher,,,They can charge what they want when they want for any reason they want or with no reason at all at any time....
we've been watching our local stations fluctuate up to .30 per gal per day; and there is a .35 per gallon difference betwen stations within a 5 mile radius of one another. In fact I drove by a Murphys this am at 3.42 and an hour later it was at 3.53
so when it's stated the change should be pennies per day and it's much higher, that's insane (and we're not near the path of the storm). I wonder if/when price gouging laws will take effect
Gas jumpt .20cents in 2 days. Can't believe it. Granted we are still cheaper than most we're sitting at 3.69 a gallon but just because of Isaac, they jumped the prices. Geesshhh!!!!
This just goes to show us what fools the politicians think we are. We NEED for them to talking about a solution to the price gouging and unfair price fixing of gasoline but instead they want to talk about totally unsolvable issues like abortion and gay rights. They always wait until election time to muddy the waters with these "problems" to take the focus off of the real ones. They do it every time..Friends gas could double in price in one day and the thieves would get away with it ,or as they say we can just not buy it,,,,,,,,,right.
