A narrow, often ostentatious concern for book learning and formal rules

Lighten up Francis said the kettle to the pot.

The cop and the clerk came across as complete douche bags I'd have laughed over the guys creativity and appreciated the joke even if the Dunkin Donuts box was pretty cliche. maybe they were just mad that the donut boxes were empty of donuts. Had he said he put a dollar bill in 137 donuts they wouldn't have had a problem eating all 137 donuts to retrieve the dollars. Some people pay fines in pennies and they accept that.

Guys... if you're going to do something like this, do it right. In this case it should have been 274, 50¢ rolls of pennies. By law they are required to accept any US currency regardless of denomination. Also, the payee is not obligated to verify the amount transacted... in other words THEY have to count it. Best part is it's pretty easy, just stop at your local bank, they may not like it but oh well.

Not original but funny, unless your one of the people waiting behind him in line. Then I guess he's a D.B.

Unfortunately you have to sit there while they count it. You need the receipt. Otherwise expect a letter saying you still owe them more money because it didn't add up
