Much like my '05 GTO, that is a car I might consider because of what the car is, regardless of what name is on it. I tell people that if my car were named "Fred" instead of "GTO" I still would have bought it, because I like so much about it.
I like the current Mustangs, but I'd prefer one with the previous model rear end. I think that would be as close to a perfect retro look as possible. I doubt the '15 will be as radically different as the sketches show. It's too much, and too soon after Ford's best attempt at a classic appearance.
The mustang really needs a stripper notchback model with a NA 5.0, stripped of power options and a six speed manual.
That would be awesome.
With that rendering in the OP, I'm not a fan. It's nice looking, but it's no Mustang. I also can't STAND this idea that every body panel on a car should be a door. People have been sliding in behind the front seats for generations. I like the second rendering much better.
Looks good. If it actually ends up looking like that, it would be the first mustang to not look like an abomination. Sorry to mustang fans, but imo they've been ugly in each iteration ever made. Yes, ever. A production mustang mirroring the rendering would change my mind.
I don't like it at all. The front end is okay, the rest of it is all kinds of bleh. Of course, it's a rendering that's obviously not even close to production. Those headlights and mirrors? They aren't going to make it. The gas cap placement is very unlikely. The doors are ridiculously stupid. I do like that it won't have a wagon axle however.
Looks too G35 coupe-ist to me and I'm not a fan of the new front end. For me the 2013 is the best looking car they're made since the 69. That's coming from a guy with a 92 notch and a 7UP Conv't.
