So I picked up my van on Wed. the 17th and paid with a check which he ran through the machine. So I checked a day or two later at my bank account nothing went through, checked again on the weekend still nothing. Now it's Monday the 22nd still nothing, it's not even in the pending transactions. So did I get a freebie?

It'll be there tomorrow I bet. Check clearing times are generally 3 business days, and that doesn't count the day of deposit, depending on the time. So you've got Thurs, Fri, and now Mon. I bet you'll see it post overnight, unless they made a mistake and someone at the bank posted it to the wrong account.
Far from. LOL. There's times where I pay bills online on a Friday and there is no account activity of it till Wed-Thurs. Dont go spending that money just yet.

I'm not. Usually it'll post, even weekend purchaces, pretty quick. And I figured that he ran the check through with the credit card machine, and he said that the checks wouldn't get cashed until the next day because I came so late in the day....I just thought it would have gone through by now.

the only thing he did with the check in the credit card machine was get it authorized. it can take up to 7 days before a check hits your bank.
Get your mind off of your account balance and just consider the bill paid, Check back in 30 days .
