New episodes of Overhaulin are on the Velocity channel. Latest episode involved a guy with severe lung condition wanting to rebuild an old VW Bug into a racer hotrod. Dude was hooked up to an oxygen bottle and waiting on a lung transplant. His bug was beyond repair. They bought on out of a salvage yard and rebuilt that one and added a new engine built to withstand the 200 HP the turbo charged engine puts out.
I know opinion vary greatly but I've always been a Chip Foose fan.. While I don't really care for the show I do like the mans work. I had a chance to meet him at one of the power tours a few yrs back and he seemed to be a genuinely nice guy.
I don't know the politics behind the show other than the fact that it's an hour long advertisement for their supplier but If they are truly giving back then that is great...

What "supplier?" There is no single supplier for the show. Other than Foose, himself. Unlike, say, Pimp My Ride where they mention all the suppliers by name before, during, and after the build. The show is great, and not a drama fest like the one that Boy Coddington had or like Orange County Choppers.
i thought i noticed some product acknowledgement in a recent episode, but frankly expect it with in general customers getting things done at lower or no cost. I have always liked this show, as stated already it lacks all the reality tv crap that others offer, but it still shows some nice rides. And every once in awhile, the reveal actually does tug on the heart a wee bit....
They mention the suppliers, but they don't hog the show, thats the difference. Chip is a real, genuine person. I liked the episode best where the producer of the show Overhauled Chip's truck and got all the friends and family to do it. That was lump in the throat time..
