1M is not a whole lot of $$$ for cars. LOL.

That being said, If I had $1M, I'd "buy" an Aston Martin for how nice it looks, I'd get a V10 Gallardo for the sound and I'd get a S class for sheer luxury and long rides.

I'd also buy a Big ass Navigator / Suburban for family and save the rest of money for the upkeep of the first 3 cars..

A slightly used low mile certifed pre-owned 2009-2012 Corvette ZR-1 and a certified pre-owned 2011-2013 F-450 Dually with tow/haul pkg and a nice late model 32' power boat to tow behind it.

Also would add a nice 2 story house (near a big lake) with fully loaded shop and 2 car garage and save the rest of the $$$ in the bank.

A used car, as buying a new car is a total waste of money..depreciates 10% as soon as yeah leave the lot. Then wait a few years and buy the latest and greatest EV...And no, not a Tesla either..

Leaving aside the question of the meaning of "liquid capital" I will say that if I had that kind of money right now my choice would be the Z06 Corvette, in silver. I thought about the ZR1, but it's really a race car, lacking only the numbers on the doors and the assorted other decals. I'm also given to understand that it's street manners are less than polite, and I don't really need 638 hp to get around town, 505 hp is just about right for me.

It's of course just my opinion, but to me the C6 Corvette is about the best looking car on the road. Of course, as always, YMMV.

To go along with the spirit of the question, and as it is Christmas, I'll put in my request.

I'm not so into cars as I used to be and generally consider them a money pit, albeit a pleasureable one.

So I'll go for something I've always liked but with a twist.

It's the limited edition Porsche 911 Sport Classic.

I'd have fun and maybe not lose too much on its ownership;

Most people with a mil in liquid assets would be smart enough to know wasting money on a car will never make you truly wealthy, or happy.
Drive what you have and spend your mil on something that will get you returns.
I have more than that amount in liquid, and I'm happy as can be with my '03 S-10 PU and my wife's '08 Cobalt.....
I get more satisfaction and enjoyment looking at my bank balance than having iron in the garage...
I know that isn't what the OP was looking for, but that's my perspective...

People who are into cars don't consider it "wasting" money. And yes, for those of us who are car guys, they certainly can truly make us happy. My returns are measured by how much my face hurts from smiling after a track day.
