I'd much prefer a tan interior than a black one. Gray is middle ground for me. I love lighter colored interiors. I assume light interiors might not be so good for people who are very dirty after work, or like to eat in the car a lot.

One pitfall of tan is that my jeans and belt tend to darken the driver's seats in my cars. I can offset the effects by cleaning the leather periodically, but I still get a lot of dye transfer. Not going to do the seat cover thing.

I will not own a vehicle with a black interior. Only brown or medium tan.

Same here.

Black, grays interiors are so dreary...so depressing. I would never buy one having a dark interior. Tan is a warmer color overall and light and easy on the eyes... I have had no real issues on cleanliness, whether it was from cloth seats years ago to leather I have now.

OP: Ask your DAUGHTER which she would prefer....

Its like having a gold car. No one under the age of 70 should be driving one.

LOL...thanks for the early morning chuckle! I hadn't really thought about that!
Like everything else, a good mixture of opinions...which is why the the auto industry produces so many color interiors. Something for everyone!

I didn't like it when I was younger but I do like it now. I'm looking at a white 2013 Accord with tan interior. Too hot here in Miami to be having dark/dark..

What tone are we talking here? "Tan" can be anything from sandstone to almost a burnt orange. I love tan leather, especially paired up with dark exterior. Tan interior and a dark exterior is extremely classy.

Look up any high end luxury car (RR, Bentley, Maybach, etc.) and you find that overwhelmingly they are tan interiors accented with dark striping on the leather, woodgrain or a combination of the two.

We love our Red SUV with the tan interior. Have owned it for over 10 years. Oh the wifes car has a tan interior also, she love's it, just like the previous one she owned with a tan interior. Did I mention we like tan interiors .

Black is a no no in the hot desert areas, especially the interiors. It's a rarity to see one. The black cars are from people moving in from the cold areas. They're hard to sell here.
