in reality the current Yaris is a spruced up Echo. i bought one last year and it's been flawless. I don't know why but the back view reminds me of a Dodge for some reason

No, this is the modern day Yugo. I have seen these advertised but haven't yet seen one on the road.

My SIL was looking at the same ones. hey eliminated the corolla because they had one before and did not like it although the new one is very different. Between the Fit and the Yaris my brother and I researched and drove them and concluded the Fit was the far better car, so she bought a Yaris. Then we discovered the Yaris was on the list of the the top ten least safe cars made. She has not had any problems with it, but that should be expected it is only a year or two old. Maybe they improved it but when we looked the Fit was a way better car by leagues and leagues. Everything about it was equal or better and some things were way way better. (Ride, performance, versatility, comfort I do not remember what all else).

Conclusion: What ever car you think is best for your SIL, tell her to buy one of the others, then she iwll buy the one that is a better choice.

Sorry, I will do research for you if I get paid. My rate is $335/hour.

You can find it here though. Someone posted that list on CD in the past year.

Ok since you said please:

http://www.clarkhoward.com/news/clar...gerous-/nSLmk/

The second one has Yaris at the most unsafe. You owe me $33.50 it took me almost five minutes to find it.

It made a couple of the top 20 lists for ugligest cars too. Maybe even top 10. When I get the check for the first answer I will look that up for you too if you ask nicely.

i wasn't being facetious, i actually wanted to see those links. doesn't bother me anyway as i had a 92 Tercel for 20 years that i drove from NY to Savannah and Atlanta several times and i always felt safe. car was awesome in snowstorms. my Yaris is almost 400 lbs heavier than the old Tercel so that's good.

now if you want to sell me a 73 Dodge Monaco Brougham in mint condition, dark blue with vinyl roof and a 360 V8, power assists....do you take Pay Pal??!!
