Trade in your vehicle now! If you don't want to get stuck with a vehicle that will break the bank in fuel cost.

We've been paying over $3 per gallon here in California for a while. Gas is expensive, what are you gonna do? Go out and spend $30,000 on a new car to save gas?

Gas is cheap relative to crude oil. It probably won't last much longer.

Default Fleet, that is simply rediculous to have vehicles with that kind of mpg

We should as a country stand up and make it illegal to own a vehicle that gets less than 20 mpg; with the exception of heavy duty trucks-for now.

Gas has been over $3 a gallon here in Alaska for over a year...just hit $3.30 the other day. Diesel is $3.45. We trimmed our cars to a Subaru and a Chevy S10...both will get 24 to 27 mpg highway...good enough for now...
I can see gas hitting $4 a gallon soon (like a year or so), unless the politicians do something drastic to fix it. (not holding my breath)

Here in the Eureka area of California it has been over $3 for a long time and just hit $3.29 for regular gas and $3.49 for super. It is always high here, we have to drive 143 miles to Redding to save maybe 10 or 15 cents a gallon or 90 miles to Brookings Oregon to save 30 cents a gallon. I am a gardener and most of my driving is local with the greatest distance being a 6 mile round trip. I fill up my truck about every three weeks when it gets down to a little under a half tank. My accountant won $2500 in gas at one of the area casinos and just filled my truck and gas cans with $100 in gas and she filled my truck with $45 of gas a month ago when it was under $3.

Sorry. I just leased a new 2008 Nissan Armada. I need a vehicle this large for my family. I would gladly give it up for something that could hold all of my family and get 30-40mpg. I know that Chevrolet and GMC are about to come out with hybrid versions of there full-sized suvs, but they will probably be extremely expensive, as are most hybrids. The reason why some people do not buy hybrids is because they are usually more expensive than the versions of cars with gas engines. They simply cannot afford the hybrid prices. If manufactuers would lower the prices of hybrid vehicles, people would run to buy them and some of them would not sit on the lots so long.

Fortunately, we are free to drive what we want.
It's most likely that I go through less fuel with one of my Cads, which is driven about 1,000-1,500 miles per year than someone with a 25 mpg car which is driven 15,000 or 20,000 miles per year.

Hahahaha...NO! We live in a free country where we can pick and chose what we eat, drive, wear, etc and I will not let someone else tell me that I CAN'T. I drive a GMC Yukon and have no big family, I don't haul much, and I get a whopping 17 mpg. Do I care? Nope, I bought it because I liked it. I'm the one whose signature is on the car payments, not yours.
