In Calgary it's expensive to park downtown unless you're there before early a.m. so parking is free at the various depots, and you're on into downtown. So far, less stress.

Transit didn't calculate ridership "avec" backpacks, though. Van. is pretty crowded. Van. was reaching the tipping point when it came to cell phone use when I bailed in 2011. How does Hugh Hefner stand it? Oh yeah, he's deaf.

Vancouver downtown didn't even provide parking for supervisors, so we all took the train into town. The Olympics in 2010 sure got the locals out of their cars, which was part of the Master Plan and worked! Plus you wouldn't believe the conversation value a height harness and a really big hammer make.

At the end of a long day the last thing I need to do is drive surrounded by crackheads and people with undiagenosed borderline medical issues. Riding with them is much better.

I do. It's a much better alternative, parking and gas is expensive, plus my bus pass is paid for so I have a much greater incentive, however i'd still pay for a pass if needed.

I havn't driven in so long that my car won't start, which doesn't matter since I have "storage only" coverage on for a few bucks a year. If I ever need to gas up the whip i can do so, but heck I have taken the bus to costco . If I can do it there, I don't need it for anything else.

Will have to give zipcar a try though, one of these days.

One big thing the public transportation lovers always omit.....if you have to stop to take a leak or even worse, a mean number 2, its so much better to be in your car and you can stop at the nearest fast food, supermarket, ect...

I remember being on the subway everyday in High School and having to hold in bad gas, it was terrible. But sometimes, I just let it rip
