I'm looking at one of those. Certified used base model, unless someone wants to give me a higher trim at entry level price, which I doubt.

Wrong on both counts. Buy a Camry, don't look back.

You're welcome...

A 2012 Camry is out of my price range by a few grand, and I hate the previous gen of them. Talk about bland.

If anyone has any opinions on the cars mentioned though.

Oh hell no - its like a driving appliance. Sad part is they don't even have that vaunted Toyota Quality anymore (just average). Get the Mazda - better looking, better handling.

If you get the Fusion, get atleast the 3.0 V6 model, if you cant afford the 3.5L Sport Model.

I test drove the 2011 Fusion and 2011 Mazda 6 back to back. The Mazda 6 was hands down a better driving car and the interior was higher quality too. The mistake I made was getting the four cylinder, not that is was underpowered, at 170hp is was fine, it just wasn't enough 'fun' for me. So I traded it in less than two years later. Admittedly not the best financial decision ever.

The Mazda is the driver's car. Especially if it is a manual.
