The "L" shape end. I assume you know what that means? And yes, all of them.

Are they original? If they were changed out at some point, maybe they had the wrong heat range, or were gapped incorrectly. I suppose you could have a lean fuel mixture, or a timing issue. I was thinking clogged injectors....but I don't know how common it would be for all of them to be fouled at the same time.

Either way, if the mechanic finds you threw a rod, none of that matters. You're probably looking at a new/used engine.

They were just changed in January.

That's what I've been gathering, from reading so much about it. I don't have the money for a new engine. This sucks.

But I got no warning. There was no kind of warning at all...I just don't understand this.

Default kawasaki ninja carb--stripped phillips screw--how to remove

Needs a major cleaning==all other screws came out easy, except for this one--where the head of the screw is totally shot.

I don't think so but I will certainly ask if it comes down to: "needing new engine".

Well, wait until you hear from the mechanic to see what's up. It might be something else and not a rod.
In the event that you do need one here is a link to some used/rebuilt motors. I don't know where you live, so I chose North West. I know you don't have the cash for a motor, but those prices are not too bad. It's the installation that will get you. Maybe the folks at your work can do it?

That shaking you had a while ago was just brakes, right?
