I intend to start shopping soon for a 4 door mid-size sedan. I prefer GM vehicles but could be tempted to defect. I want to keep the price under $30,000. The more tech the better. I like (and can qualify for) low interest/no interest financing. Right now I am thinking about a Buick LaCross. What else should I look at? On CNET Cars recently they liked the Mazda 6 a lot.......
The Fusion is awesome looking. Not bad comfort, but bland drive train. Can you boost your price a bit? You could get into a 2009 CTS-V. Are you only looking at new? The Pontiac G-8 is hard to beat and considerably less than 30K (For a GT, a GXP will cost $32-$36 or more). If you must have new, take a look at he new malibu. Still it will be hard to beat the Fusion in that price range.

The Fusion is a very nice car, but the new Ecoboost 4 cylinder engines are underwhelming both in power and fuel economy. Neither of them achieve their EPA ratings and have unimpressive power.
My Dad just leased a new Buick Verano. It has some good qualities. It is not for me, but there are some great features. Good leg room for the driver. It is way too high tech though. He had to go to an all day class to learn how to operate the car and he still struggles with it.
