Do it the same way as if you were on the left, just turn the wheel the other direction. I was taught to line up the B pillar to the rear bumper of the other vehicle
All those suggestions are going to vary widely depending on the specific vehicle.

It's a good guideline but as mentioned, the length and width of the car you are measuring against, the dimension of your car and the length of the parking space will vary how one should approach it.
It will just come with experience and there is no real formula when parallel parking whether to the left or right. However, knowing the dimension of the car you are driving is fundamental in my opinion.

I know it's just the same thing flipped, but I can no more do it smoothly than I can could write letters backward. The brain gets used to what you do and I've not parked on the left enough to do it well.
I tried like 4 times getting into a tight parking spot on the left side on a 1-way street and had to tell my friend to get out and guide me. It's really counter-intuitive.

Interesting. I've never had a problem. It's only a matter of turning the wheels in the opposite direction. Everything else is the same.
Your B pillar, their rear bumper, turn wheels, back up until: Your front bumper, their rear bumper, turn wheels in opposite direction. Continue to back up.
Done correctly you will be in the parking spot when the car is parallel to the curb.
In other words, if you did something correctly, you will have done it correctly.
Only if you did the right way, because if you didn't you won't be parked in the spot when finished. You could be in lot down the street for all we know.
