I have an 02 gmc Sonoma that I bought with a stock air system in it but I also got a k and n cold air intake with the truck. Well check engine light was on because the iat sensor plug does not fit in the stock air intake but fits the k and n cold air. I would like to switch back to stock for smog purposes but I'm wondering what to do about the plug? also, is a stock air intake actually just called an air intake because I can't seem to find anything about what the air intake systems called stock.
Ahhhh...
Swap sensors? Sounds like someone took OEM sensor off the stock air manifold and put it onto the CIA. As a result, OEM harness plug fits CAI.
Then to sell the truck, they simply found "a" sensor, that fit OEM intake, and sold it to you with a little story along.
When people mess with stuff they know nothing about you will run into this sort of problems. Never ever buy a car some kid has owned and tried to make go faster..never
