do current Chryslers and Dodges still have the old "Star" on the top portion of the key? or have the keys gone way of a more generic look? if i had to guess, they have gone more generic. you know the "Star" i am referring to, it was in the hornpad on Dodges in the 70's and on the bottom front rocker panel of our 71 Duster, throughout the owners manuals, on Chrysler Corp showroom marquees, etc. last Chrysler Product I drove was in 86 when i worked for Budget RAC, I drove Dodge Lancers, LeBarons, Caravelles and i can't recall how the keys were
Buick had a red/blue circle with 3 pointy things that kind of hung low, those were in the brake pedals and maybe in hornpads
The "key" for my 2012 Charger is just a fob as my car is equipped with push-button start. There is no Pentastar on it, it just says "Dodge" with the 2 red stripes to represent their current logo.

Same with my 300. I thought everything was going towards Fobs and or push starts.
Im not sure anyone makes a car that you HAVE to use the key to get in. You just have to push the "unlock" button. Many cars now you dont even need to push the button. I know some Chryslers you just push the little button on the door handle as long as you have the fob nearby. In the case of my Taurus SHO you just have to run your finger down the number keypad to unlock it. I RARELY have to take the fob out of my pocket

The Chrysler and Dodges with the push start buttons has a ignition, or a place for a key. The push button pops out and you will see a place to insert a key. The key is within the Fob. At least is was like that through 2011 when I left the DCJ business.

Unless I'm mistaken you actually just put the fob in as the key, not an actual key.
Go to the dealer and test drive one and look for your self.
