My wife recently bought a 2013 SRT Charger and the sales rep stated the tires come inflated with Nitrogen. Is this the norm or something done by SRT?

Normal, just something else they can charge you for

The difference is minimal regardless of what a sales person tells you.

Some places charge, some don't. Typically you see higher end stores (lexus, etc...) that will provide it as a matter of course. Other stores might charge, some might not as a courtesy. Remember, the air we breathe is 80% nitrogen anyway. It can lead to fewer tire pressure lights coming on for cold mornings.

It's BS hype that too many car people are buying into.

Theres a lot on the web of why this is done. I do not care to get in a debate on wether it works or not. But yes, this is becoming a common practice at many dealerships. It does not have to be a highline or performance car dealer.
