I paid about 3% under invoice for my 2012 Jeep and 7% under for my 2014, and I picked up that one from the first delivery truck to the dealer. Only car we paid "sticker" for was our 2004 Camry, and that had already been marked down from MSRP since it was a dealer demo. I want to say it was maybe 1 or 2% under, I don't remember.
To determine the true dealer invoice, all you have to do is join Consumer Reports where they give you all the details and numbers on the TRUE invoice price for the car, any holdback, incentives, etc.
A long longggggggggggggggggggg time, since most people are stupid enough to pay MSRP and more than make up for him selling it to me at invoice.
There is no such thing as a dealer selling you a car for what he has paid for it.
You may have gotten a good or better deal than others but the dealer still made a profit on you and a pretty good profit.
