I remember, back when I was growing up in the 80s-90s, my great uncle had a red 70s Ford Econoline/Clubwagon. This thing was pretty pimpin, it had the rims, bubble window, the carpeting and bucket seats to match, it even had the decal of the eagle flying into the sun set. Now knowing my great uncle I'm doubting he had it customized, and I remember seeing brochures from the 70s van craze where you could buy accessorizes from the factory. I was wondering could you also buy a van like that from Ford, or was that something you did your self???

All of the Big 3 had these vans you could order from the factory with all the stuff on it.. You would talk to their "custom" sales person and he would do all the paperwork and get everything you wanted on the order including the paint.... Then give your down payment and they send the order in....

Ford had the cruiser vans that could be ordered with the items you listed.
Later you could get a Leisure Van from Ford with 4 capt chairs, a folding bench to a bed in the rear with sporty paint.
Ford still makes a version of these vans, it is a E150 XLT Premium. It has 4 capt chairs and the 3rd row bench.
The exterior is rather plain. The Chateau trim package is long gone also.
