I never gave the Highlander any consideration but it looks to be a good choice. The 2004 and 2005 Limited models with mileage between 80k to 100k are in my price range. Thank you for the suggestion!
A friend has a 2003 highlander w 230k and its never left him stranded. His onky issue was with the aircon whicj he needs libing in DC
All it will take is one break down with screaming toddlers in the car and a 75 min wait for AAA to convince folks with little peeps to have the latest model well running auto they can afford.
We settled on a Versa and will be zipping the 40.mpg auto across country a few times this year. I 've always liked the bliss of oil changes only.
Ditto the minivan comment, very affordable, great on insurance and relatively decent on gas
Thanks to everyone with their suggestions. I wanted to update the post because we picked up our 2008 Toyota Highlander Sport yesterday. We decided to take our $10K and use it to pay half the cost of the Highlander and finance the rest. Once again, thank you to bmwguydc for suggesting a Highlander!
Congratulations on your purchase! And, thanks for coming back and updating the thread as it's nice to know what vehicle was picked.
