That's a strange way to look at it. I mean, they have to market the advantages one type of vehicle has over another, right? So they show a guy in a truck towing a big boat in order to catch the attention of the guy who wants a boat and make him say "Oh, yeah, if I want to get a boat I better get a truck first." I see nothing deceptive about it.

Have you watched TV in the past year or two? Almost every commercial for pickup trucks nowadays advertise how family-friendly they are.

I find this thread amusing. In the spirit of continuing the thought process, my new thread, "what's the point of owning a pencil?" will be up shortly.

Why should the US tax the crap out of truck owners? What about people who drive an Escalade? What about a Corvette?

You cannot be conservative if you want the government acting like this. When have to prove to the massive federal government we need something to avoid taxes - all things are going to hell.

What's the point of having a door on your house? You only really need it part of the time, and when you don't need it you have all that hassle of opening it when you want to go in or out.

You're right! Then tax the crap out of you if you have bedrooms in your house you don't need. 2 people and 2 1/2 baths? Tax them! Tax everything at Costco's double unless you can prove you need 25 pounds of rice or a 10 gallon jug of mayo at once. I get this now.....hey this is fun.......I should run for office!
