With that in mind something else I would look at is how the back seat folds up in each truck and which will work better for you. It does look like the Ford might have more space for a big bin to fit with the seats folded up out of the way. I think the seat can also fold flat giving you slightly less height but more flat surface if you need it.

2014 GM:

It may vary according to trim but the seats only go up in mine. I, too, thought they would fold flat. They don't.

I love Chevy and GM and that is all I've owned since I started driving. I will continue to buy until I die. I can't control what happens in the offices of GM all corporations have issues. As long as the product is good that's all I care about.

Looks like it's the Dodge crew/mega cab that has the fold flat seats, which may be something else for ComSense to look at if maximum rear seat space is a priority, those Rams to have a massive back seat. Just make sure to look at their real crew cab, not the "quad cab" which is just an extended cab with short normal opening doors.

Hmm, I'd rather have mine lift up, although it might be nice if they went both ways. I could use the fold down occasionally but use the fold up way more often. That includes the '03 extended cab I have.

would see if you can get it for $28K or less since it is used and it is 2WD and that is their asking price

OP have you looked at a lower trim 5.0 V-8 XL or XLT version with 4x4 instead of the FX2 pkg?

It's not GM's fault that our brilliant government made the decisions they did.

I've rented both trucks, and found the Chevy to be a much more comfortable and better driving truck. Quieter too. I use a laptop and other devices for work, and everything seemed to fit better in the Chevy. It was a better platform to work out of for what I do than any of the other trucks I rented. I can't speak for rear room because all I ever had in it was my travel bag and a cooler.

The price is one of those "non-negotiable / no hassle" prices. So it says.
