Not really planning any out of state trips this winter, but I was curious. If I should happen to have to take a trip to a state that prohibits studded tires, would I have to take them off before leaving, or do out-of-state tags get a pass?
Damn. There go my hopes of driving to Hawaii with my studded tires on.

If you are planning to drive to a warmer climate for a week or more I would suggest putting your all-season or summer tires back on for the trip. The warm roads will destroy your softer winter tires and you car will handle like crap with the winters on it.
