I am interested in a smallish, 4 door, full cab size truck. Much like the older Ford Explorer Sport Track II. I would buy a new one of them in a heart beat. I have friends with 4 door F150's and Dodge Rams?, but they are just a bit big for me.

Suggestions please?

Thanks

Toyota Tacoma crew cab is the way to go. Tacoma has the midsize market conquered because they are so reliable.

I think they look a lot better than the other midsize trucks too.

The Colorado is coming back next year, and is suppose to be a decent truck

Good timing, JohnGolf . . .

I just read in one of my Car Magazines that General Motors is about to release a new Colorado. Three engine choices . . . one being a Diesel.

I would strongly recommend against the Dakota, unless you like replacing your ball joints and transmissions at 30K intervals.

The Tacoma is the best in the segment. You'll pay more for the Toyota name, though.

I love it when people post rational comments like this.

Won't have to wait until next year, Colorado (and GMC Canyon) hit the showrooms this year.

The sad thing is - that really is the service life of those components in a Dakota.
