The other fun topic thread made me remember a couple of things I did that '67 VW Bug. One other thing I did was seeing how many people we could get into that car and still be able to drive it. We got nine teenagers in it (including me). I drove and it had a top speed of 25 MPH. Did not handle real well.

Any one else?

I've been in a Kia Sportage with 8 people in it, two in front and six children across the back. This was 2000, I was 7 years old.

I literally just posted something related to this topic on Jalopnik...

We once put 7 people in a Miata with the top UP. Was NOT comfortable, and we were only able to drive very slowly around a parking lot... but we totally did it.

Link to terrible instagram video.

EDIT: At around 9 seconds, you can see the side of my head... I was sitting in the passenger seat.

Six people in a Corvette. Years ago I flew my plane to Laramie for a UW football game. There were four of us in the plane. I called and asked a friend to pick us up at the airport. He came in his Vette with another friend. Hello? Anybody home up there?

In my younger years we'd often pack 6-8 people in my friend's '39 coupe -- 4 up front, 2 to 4 in the trunk. But that was mostly just to get into the drive-in theater.

When I was in college we had 12 people in a 1984 Honda Accord 2 door hatchback going to a Halloween party. It was about 3 miles from campus to the party.

In the Comoros, my wife and I rode to a wedding party 25 miles away in Mitsamiouli in a Renault 4 in the 1970s. Nobody counted, but I would conservatively estimate 10 more-or-less inside (with us, luckily, she was on my lap in the middle row of seats), and all doors open with an unknown number of people standing on the doorsills and hanging on for dear life, and probably a couple on the roof holding the luggage rack. At least fifteen adults, with a payload well over a ton. The driver took it easy, probably about 50 mph. That was a car built for utility.
