You did your homework, you stayed within her budget, the car's a beauty, clean.... I'd say you're a great hubby! Does your wife love it?
My sweetie recently got a used pick-up. LORD I thought he'd never settle on one but he knew what he wanted and he wanted to stay in a certain price range. It took a good month and a half but he found it! (I'm a lucky lady!)
Fusion looks nice, but why not a compact car? You can get better gas mileage. Maybe a used Kia of Hyundai (those depreciate quickly, so used is decently priced).
^ because the fusion had more features etc... I could have got a brand new Prius instead of a sports car that had less than half the mileage but gas mileage isn't at the top of everyone's list

It's all about the cumulative package. She was coming from a Honda Accord and we often take trips or carry passengers and having the space is really nice once you have more than two people in a car. Features/options on the car are great too and mileage isn't bad. I'm actually not opposed to KIA/Hyundai compact cars as they are built well these days but they just weren't the car for us. If we feel like sitting in a tighter space and being uncomfortable we'll take my Genesis Coupe with its lowered suspension, 19" wheels and stiff shocks (I kid, I love it but it's definitely not the ideal image of comfort for many people).

Thanks for the kind words! She's very happy with the car and going through that phase where you buy a car and want to drive it everywhere lol. Good to hear that you were able to find what you wanted as well.
It's tough to argue with the value on the used market. There aren't many Fords or Lincolns I'd buy new (not because they are bad cars but because the competition is so good) and I certainly didn't think I'd be owning a Ford a week ago but look at where I'm at today.
Totally agree. Fords (and Lincoln) are a great value when purchased used. Not so much when they are purchased new.
