Long overdue is a return to the base model without all of the technology. I don't want all of that in a truck. I want a straight 6, manual trans, manual windows/locks and a rubber floor mat. Can I have the option of 15" wheels, please? AC is a must and a radio would be cool. I don't need 10 charging ports, bluetooth, backup sensors/cameras or the other fluff people think they need. It's a truck and you need to be aware of the fact.
One day you go out to start the car, and it won't turn over, and a message appears:

-How about a V8 with over 300hp and 300ft*lbs of torque that gets 50mpg.
-Customized CPU maps that you can switch using a touch screen interface on the dash. One map gets you 50mpg. Another adds more low end torque for towing. Another map gives the engine more peak horsepower....etc
-A car with a self guiding repair manual that speaks to you and gives you instructions as you work on it and includes a diagnostic feature.
