My mechanic didn't recommend or discourage me from getting them. He just said he has no experience with these tires since they just came out in April. He's had good experience with Michelin Defenders and Primacy, but I took a chance on these, because of the supposed Hydroplaning Resistance and Excellent Wet Grip. These Premiers supposedly continue their excellent wet grip as the tire wears because the grooves expand as it wears. Only time will tell. They are expensive--I took a gamble.

Premier A/S tires use an extreme silica and sunflower oil enhanced tread compound to increase traction in wet and cold temperatures.

I drove 65 miles so far in heavy rain. They really grip the road and are quiet. Hope they stay this way. I replaced Yokohama Avids which were pretty bad in wet weather, especially snow. I wonder how the Premiers will do in the snow--I'll have to wait a while to find out. With the Avids when I took off from a stop they would slip--even when they were new--not the case with the Premiers.

Hopefully they were worth the premium price. My mechanic was told the Premiers will be replacing the Primacys.

Anyone else have these yet?

All Michelin Premiers are made in either the US or Canada. By going to the link below, clicking on "Specs" and entering your tire size, you can determine the country of origin of your tires.

How are our tires doing? Are they good in snow? Still quiet? Emergency handling? Thanks!

Hard to go wrong with a Michelin tire.

Especially if you can wait until there's a rebate to be had!
