OP is the biggest troll I've seen in a while. Apparently no car above his Civic is at all necessary. Why have a car with larger tires than my civic? Why have a car with less MPG than my Civic? His Civic is a supercar on par with the Veyron SS. Let's move along because none of us will be able to match the superiority of his Civic. We all bow down to the econbox supercar.

it's all relative. 20s on a civic obviously are just for the ballers. But 20s on an SUV is actually pretty common.

I put 20s on my Mustang because I like the way they look vs the stock 16s:

They also work better. And I don't wear baseball caps.

I have 24.5's on my semi. I think they would smash a Civic, in fact... maybe that is what I felt... (whoops)

Most tuners are looking for less sidewall roll and better handling. I still run 13's on many of my StealthRabbits. Not ideal.. but for $5 each, they will do. I buy most my 'lightweight' tires at the junkyard and have a vintage Coats tire machine and balancer, so that part of the deal is free.

Why do people drive Civics? They are slow, ugly and are by far the most over-rated car on the market. My sister had one as did I and they were both lemons. I will never own another civic.

Any car can do that. You are better off having a Jeep for off road only and a good car for the streets. That Jeep is a heap of crap with no technological advances since the 60's. Noisy, handles horribly, brakes badly and more. Please drive is slow on highways for your own safety, not to mention everyone around you. I will be passing you in my good German car.

Big rims are for looks only. Most cars that go to the track would have smaller rims because they are better for handling. It is all about looks and have nothing to do with performance.

Seems to be the new fad. Or tire companies just looking to make more money.

Oh please, really! I would bet you I can beat any BMW, but an M series from a standing start (injected 350 SBC)? While my goal was to have it appear stock the racerunner coilovers are the first give away to the linked suspension. Too get to the point that picture was taken the underside of your German car would be torn to shreds. Don't try to compare an offroad rig to a car, because it's just silly. Anytime you want to race your car in the desert you just let me know, and if that's not good enough we'll see how it does against my Corvette.

Thanks for the chuckle though.

My 55 Willys CJ5

Thread topic seriously? a taller tire gives an offroad vehicle additional axle clearance to obstacles. Like when I'm doing 30 mph in the sand over the top of a few rocks here and there.
