Really? Putting 20s on my Mustang was compensating for something?

Which is the whole point behind them. They are supposed to be caricatures. The movement was started in Miami by lowrider builders who decided that they wanted to stand out in a sea of $100,000 cars, by building caricatures of custom cars. The early ones had high end interiors and built up big block engines making massive horsepower in order to turn the oversized wheels.

Of course, the fad spread to people who only wanted the look but didn't have the money to do it well, and we get the cheap and cheezy versions of it all over the country now.

I can't even imagine how bad the ride & handling must be on that thing. Looks like it sits up higher than any stock 4X4 Ram, F-150, Silverado, Wrangler, etc. lol.

I felt bad when I had to go to 16s on my Cherokee to get the size I wanted.

My car has 15s. That's all it will ever have. 17, 18'' whels and tires on cars here in NY are a disaster with pot holes.

Some people compensate by accusing others of compensating.

But wait? If we're on film, who's filming us now?
