Even if it is allowed and covered by the insurance company I say no way, too much liability and risk involved. What happens if I rent the car to a douchebag and he or she runs over someone or crashes into a school bus.
I rent cars a lot and I am surprised how beat up a brand new car with 13,000 miles on it looks. The interior reeks, the carpets and seats are stained, and when we do walk around to inspect dings there are always many. People trash cars they are renting and you would probably would not be able to buy the car for the same price enterprise get them for.
Will you rent your personal use items? Say shoes? Or shirts? You realize, you will be sitting in a seat, that someone's, possibly very unhealthy, buttocks were? Touching steering wheel someone else snorted, spit, and sneezed at? Not even mentioning possible fluids that show only in UV light?
Least to say, junkies doing THEIR drug business in YOUR vehicle?
Nope. I would not want to assume the maintenance and repair of the vehicle, which could be considerable if abused. I also would think you would need to carry a TON of liability, or an umbrella policy, in case the renter runs over and kills someone... and even then the insurance policy would have to cover "renting" your car out.
